Song Of The Day - Ringo Starr "Six O'Clock"

Today's Song Of The Day comes from Ringo's first album.

This is a collaboration with Paul McCartney that McCartney wrote for Ringo.

What I've always loved about this song is the "synthesizer" solo in the middle of the song.  I'll go out on a limb and say it was a Minimoog - but I could be wrong : )  To this day when I hear it, I rewind (or simply click on the time mark now) this part over and over and over.  It's the "dueling" Moog lines that gets me - I LOVE that.  I get great satisfaction from listening to each line separately and then going back and listening as a whole.  It's not your typical synth solo which keeps things interesting.

It's a great little song and the extended version is nice because it has McCartney coming in on the vocals as well.

Enjoy!
